EXPLANATION ABOUT THE APPOINTMENT OF THE DEPUTY/CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF THE MARKET INSPECTORATE

Since November 24, 2021, when the Government abolished the illegal appointment of the former Chief Executive Officer of the Market Inspectorate, the position has remained vacant. This position has been replaced by the Head of the Sector for Product Safety, a position which has been suspended since the local elections of October 14, 2021, which was led by Mr. Ruzhdi Shehu – candidate for Mayor of Junik, and the Head of the Sector for Legal Affairs, led by Mrs. Haliti.

Therefore, the Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Mrs. Rozeta Hajdari has appointed a deputy chief executive officer of the Market Inspectorate, Mrs. Lebibe Haliti.

The legislation in force recognizes her the right to exercise the duty of the head of the Inspectorate until the appointment of the Chief Executive Officer through a competition.

In conclusion, the news that Mrs. Haliti has been appointed deputy chief executive officer of the Market Inspectorate due to the influence of her brother as a member of parliament, are untrue and malicious.
