Regarding the decisions of the Ministry of Health for the facilitation phases and the gradual opening of the economy, MEETIESI recalls that the activities allowed under the NACE codes cannot be exercised in shopping malls. Only pharmacies and grocery stores are permitted to operate within shopping malls.
Item 6 of the Government Decision 01/09 of 13 March 2020 provides the closure of shopping malls during public health emergencies due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Item 3 of the MEETIESI Ordinance 01/05 of 23 March 2020, "shopping malls (operating in open and closed environments, including bazaars), except pharmacies (medical and agricultural) and grocery stores in these shopping malls".
The Ministry of Health will review the opening of shopping malls in the second facilitating phase, which begins on May 18, 2020, in accordance with the epidemiological situation and the recommendations of the National Institute of Public Health and the field experts.
