For the first time in the Republic of Kosovo, as well as at the regional level, through the Administrative Instruction (AI), the activity of active tourism and adventure tourism is regulated, according to European and ERCA (European Ropes Course Association) standards.
The Administrative Instruction defines the security conditions and criteria that must be met by professional tourism associations and commercial companies that deal with the provision of active tourism and adventure tourism services.
The Administrative Instruction regulates in particular the technical and operational conditions and criteria for the tourist products of rope sliding and rope courses.
To operate in this field, active and adventure tourism service providers are required to:
– Use equipment in accordance with the instructions according to the technical and safety requirements defined by special standards;
– The staff should be trained and have appropriate experience in the techniques;
– inform the participants about the possible conditions and risks, about the level of difficulty;
– Provide instructions on the proper use of equipment;
– Possess knowledge of group management;
– Ensure the avoidance of risks, etc.
All this enables our products that are offered for service in the field of active and adventure tourism to be safe for tourists and citizens, while the tourist offer in Kosovo is more attractive and competitive in the region.
