This instruction, which sets out the conditions, criteria and procedures for the registration and exercise of the activity of tourist guides, is an important step in regulating the tourism sector and ensuring professional and standardized services for visitors.
To exercise the activity of a tourist guide, a natural person must become part of the Tourism Registry according to the criteria and procedures provided for in this administrative instruction and the criteria determined according to the relevant administrative instruction for the tourism registry.
No person, citizen of Kosovo or foreigner, may provide tourist guide services if he/she is not equipped with a tourist guide identification card and is not included in the tourism registry.
This administrative instruction refers to natural persons, citizens of the Republic of Kosovo and foreigners, who are interested in registering as a tourist guide, including guides at the national, local level and in specific fields of tourism, such as hiking, rafting, biking and other activities.
The benefits of registration include the opportunity to provide guide services in a legitimate and professional manner, thus contributing to the development and promotion of tourism in the Republic of Kosovo.
We invite all interested parties to apply to be equipped with a tourist guide identification card so that our culture, history and attractions are presented by a local professional, and not, as was the case before, when guides from countries in the region presented our cultural heritage and our country differently to foreign tourists.
