Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, participated in the meeting of the National Economic Development Council, where it was discussed about the further steps for advancement of reforms for economic development of the country.
Prime Minister Mustafa emphasized that this concluding year, was a year of major decisions, and a year of major changes in Kosovo. "A year with the focus on development objectives, of improvement of the business environment, of creating communication bridges with businesses, and ultimately a year of signing the Stabilization and Association Agreement with the European Union. We consider that this year we will achieve a promising economic growth, which afterwards would enable a greater growth in the upcoming years, and will enable an economic development and generate employment” stated Prime Minister Mustafa.
Minister of Ministry of Trade and Industry, Hykmete Bajrami stated that in the period between two meetings of the Council, important developments have occurred in the country and a series of decisions that improve the business making environment in Kosova have been made.
Having mentioned some of them, Minister Bajrami highlighted the signing of Stabilization and Association Agreement, which represents the first contractual agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and the European Union.
The Minister also highlighted the publication of the World Bank Report on Doing Business in 2016, where Kosovo is ranked in 66th position out of 189 countries of the world.
"This proves about the progress and implementation of reforms and regarding improvements in the climate of doing business and investment climate in our country", stated Minister of MTI, Hykmete Bajrami.
