She noted that Germany remains one of the main trade and investment partners in Kosovo, emphasizing the record increase in the number of German businesses registered in the country over the past three years, where 454 businesses were registered in this period alone out of a total of 880 businesses. registered during the last 10 years.
The Minister informed Minister Habeck about Kosovo's economic progress and legislative reforms aimed at protecting investments and facilitating trade, in accordance with international best practices and EU directives.
In this meeting, she proposed the creation of a Kosovo-Germany Joint Economic Commission, to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation. During the discussion, the Minister emphasized the importance of equal access to economic opportunities and the commitment to increasing economic security in Kosovo and the region.
Minister Habeck, for his part, expressed support for an integrated region, emphasizing the central role of Kosovo in the sustainable development of the Western Balkans.
