The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurshi and Trade, through the Kosovo Investment and Enterprise Support Agency (KIESA) has started the implementation of the Industrial Policy according to the industrial performance analysis and value chain studies for industrial development, supporting businesses in certifying products aimed at export through the financial grant scheme.
At the first stage of this scheme, a total of 10 businesses benefited while the amount of awarded grants is 400.000.00 EUR.
Businesses will immediately benefit 80% of the funds from the agreements signed through this scheme, while the remaining 20% will be executed when the businesses complete their export product certification.
The grants were signed by the MIET Secretary, Mr. Daut Latifaj, while on this occasion the Minister Madam Rozeta Hajdari said in front of the business representatives that the Industrial Policy the implementation of which is starting successfully, has created a new momentum for our businesses, by preparing domestic products for the international market.
“The value of grants for certification planned for next year is over EUR 1 million. With the Industrial Policy, businesses will become competitive in the regional and international market and will be the main driver of social, economic and environmental development of our Republic,” Minister Hajdari highlighted.
