The Minister of Trade and Industry, Endrit Shala, hosted in a meeting the Ambassador of the Hungary to Kosovo, Laszlo Markusz, whereby discussing on the deepening of cooperation between both states.
The Minister Shala presented MTI priorities, indicating that greater focus will be on support of domestic producers and attraction of foreign investors.
“With my appointment in MTI, I plan to increase work dynamics and my priority is to protect the consumer, which falls under the responsibility of the ministry I lead, protect domestic production and stimulate domestic producers”, stated Shala.
The Ambassador of Hungary, Laszlo Markusz, expressed the readiness to support Kosovo in the field of agriculture, specifically provided cooperation in order to enable farmers to export Kosovo products to Hungary.
The Minister Shala and the Ambassador Markusz agreed to sign an agreement between two states, which will serve Kosovo in the field of foreign investments protection.
Also, during this meeting, the Ambassador expressed to the Minister the interest of a Hungarian investor to open in Kosovo a factory for producing agricultural machinery.
The Minister Shala expressed the readiness to make all state capacities available to the investor.
The Minister and the Ambassador agreed to soon concretize works and reach agreements for agricultural products, as well as Hungary to provide support for Kosovo in foreign investments protection.
