The impressive 50% increase in the number of visitors to Kosovo in January 2024 is a clear indication of the country’s potential for tourism development.
With a total of 77,295 visitors, 42.1% of whom were domestic and 57.8% were foreign, Kosovo is becoming increasingly popular as a tourist destination.
In particular, the increase in foreign visitors by 61% or 44,718 visitors in January 2024, compared to January 2023 when we had 27,456 visitors, is good news for the country's tourism industry.
The majority of visitors were from countries like Albania, Switzerland, Germany, and Turkey, indicating their interest in exploring the beauty and culture of Kosovo.
The number of overnight stays rose to 152,051 in January 2024. This increase indicates that visitors are staying longer than they have in the past, significantly improving their contribution to the local economy.
