The Minister of Trade and Industry, Vesel Krasniqi, received today in a meeting the representatives of the Kosovo Association of Milk Producers, who have expressed their concerns and the difficulties they are facing in this time of pandemic.
Minister Krasniqi stressed in the meeting that his focus and the ministry he leads are domestic products and that support for producers will not be lacking, especially in these times of pandemic.
"After the review of the Kosovo budget, the program for economic recovery will start to be implemented and in this form businesses will be supported by the Government of Kosovo. "Engaging in protection and support of businesses is and will remain a priority", stated Minister Krasniqi.
Meanwhile, the president of the Kosovo Association of Milk Producers, Milazim Berisha, thanked the Minister for the readiness shown. Berisha also mentioned the unfair competition that is present in the domestic market.
In the end, the Minister promised that together with inspectors and experts of the food industry will visit the fields to see closely the problems raised by milk producers.
