The Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Fatmir Limaj along with the Minister of Trade and Industry, Endrit Shala, have inaugurated the asphalting of the Suhareka Economic Zone, which is the completion of the infrastructure and operationalization of this area.
Deputy Prime Minister Limaj said that this is a job completed that has been promised two years ago.
Limaj said that businesses in Suhareka are being provided with conditions for conducting their activities, and at the same time this area is becoming a core of employment and development.
“I have visited this park in Suhareka for several times, and I have promised to help and support this park to complete the infrastructure. Two years ago we have promised that we will complete all the infrastructure they need. Here are over 70 businesses, small and medium enterprises and are slowly turning to Suhareka's heart of employment and economic development. The state has an obligation to create physical infrastructure so that businesses can focus on technology investments and increase of employment, “said Limaj.
Whereas Minister of Trade and Industry, Endrit Shala said that this economic zone for ten years was forgotten by the state.
The Minister said that the completion of the economic zone enables the development and growth of businesses.
“Today, I and Deputy Prime Minister Limaj are visiting this economic zone, which for ten years has been forgotten by the state, but the promise of Deputy Prime Minister Limaj has been fulfilled. This economic zone is operational with all accompanying infrastructure to make it easier for businesses to operate. We are in an economic area with 160 hectares available for Suhareka businesses and 2.6 million have been invested by the Ministry of Trade and Industry. This area is now operational for operation and at the same time as I said we are investing in 3 other economic zones to create conditions for businesses”, said Minister Shala.
