The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade (MIET) with the entry into force of A/I No. 03/2022 on Prices Regulation of Petroleum Products and Renewable Fuels and Other Protective Measures, has started to publish daily announcements on maximum allowed prices.
The Market Inspectorate (MIET) in cooperation with market inspectors at the municipal level and inspectors of the Tax Administration of Kosovo, today on 28.06.2022 have inspected petrol stations throughout the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.
During inspections carried out by MIET market inspectors in cooperation with TAK inspectors, it resulted that from 22 inspected fuel stations, 19 Economic Operators are respecting the maximum allowed prices, while 3 Economic Operators did respect the pricing, therefore they have been ordered to immediately adjust prices according to the MIET notice and punitive measures have been taken against them in accordance with applicable law.
Also in the municipality of Gjilan, market inspectors in cooperation with metrology inspectors and market inspectors at themunicipal level, have inspected several Economic Operators / Bakeries, in order to verify bread prices.
Market inspectors have verified the prices, declaration and weight of the bread. In this case, it was found that there is an increase in the price of bread from 0.50 € to 0.60 €. Market inspectors have requested the necessary documentation to assess whether the increase is due to the increase in prices of other products such as flour, oil, etc., whether is an artificial increase or unjustifiable. After the evaluation, measures will be taken in accordance with the legislation in force.

Inspections will continue daily at the national level and in any case when violations are found, punitive measures will be taken.
