Dear citizens of the Republic! Following the official information of two cases with COVID-19 (“Corona” virus) in Kosovo, the Ministry of Economy, Employment, Trade, Industry, Entrepreneurship and Strategic Investments, in accordance with the Government Decision dated 13 March 2020, has begun implementing the measures of the scope that covers the ministry.
MEETIESI calls on all businesses to implement the measures taken by the Government of Kosovo and at the same time requests the law enforcement and security bodies to monitor the situation in the field.
In this context, MEETIESI has engaged the inspection bodies, to work in fields with extended hours for implementing the Government's order.
These bodies are conducting ongoing checks to ensure market regularity and the implementation of the measures in relation employer-employee, inter alia, preventing the sale of products at inflated prices, or by misstatement, or expired dates. We are here to inhibit anyone who tends to take advantage of the state of danger created.
MEETIESI reminds you that companies have been ordered to organize their work, in a way so employees perform majority of their duties from home.
Utilities, suppliers, financial services, providers of electronic communications services, should provide services to the extent necessary, with reduced staff and working hours, ensuring that more operations are directed to electronic channels.
Let us not make crowd at sale points, let us make sure that we keep a distance of at least one meter from the each other, and this should also be respected by the point sale managers, by keeping the queue.
Assistance from the Kosovo Police is required for relevant inspection bodies located in the field, if needed.
