MIET decision on setting the price and other protective measures of oil products

In order to protect the consumer, protect the competition and to avoid disturbances in the market, the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade has made a decision to set the price and other protective measures of oil products.

The decision is based on the regular monitoring of prices in the market of oil products, the daily evidence received by Kosovo Customs, as well as the daily reports from the Market Inspectorate, related to wholesale and retail prices of oil products, in which case an increase in prices has been recorded that is not reflected by price movements in the world market.

This forms the basis for price regulation and the setting of other protective measures according to Law No. 08/L-018 on Trade in Petroleum Products and Renewable Fuels and Administrative Instruction (CRK) No. 03/2022 on Product Price Regulation of Oil and Renewable Fuels and Other Protective Measures.

According to this decision, the maximum allowed wholesale trade margin is two (2) euros/cents per litre, while the maximum allowed retail trade margin is twelve (12) euros/cents per litre.

This decision enters into force one (1) day after publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Kosovo.
