With the aim of developing Industrial Parks and Technology Parks in the Republic of Kosovo, a delegation from the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade (MIET), headed by the Kosovo Investment and Enterprise Support Agency (KIESA), made a study visit to the Czech Republic from 19-21 February 2024.
During this visit, the delegation from MIET/KIESA held meetings with senior officials of the Czech state, starting with the Czech Investment Office (CzechInvest), continuing with the Department of Innovation within the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, the dean of the Technical Faculty from PlzeN, as well as with the two mayors of Zdar and Kolin municipalities, where they saw closely how industrial and technological parks are established and developed in the Czech Republic.
The delegation visited the Technology Park in Brno, the Industrial Zone in Zebrak, the Industrial Zone in Zdar nad Sazavou, as well as the Industrial Zone in Kolin, including a visit to the Toyota factory located within this zone.
This visit comes as a result of the joint protocol signed in Prishtina by the Republic of Kosovo and the Czech Republic as part of the Joint Economic Committee.
This visit to Kosovo is significant due to the fact that the development of industrial parks and technology parks for MIET is one of the main objectives for 2024.
The delegation ended the three-day visit by meeting with the ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in the Czech Republic, Mrs. Albesjana Iberhysaj.
