The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, in cooperation with the Ministry of Communities and Return, held an information session with entrepreneurs and young people of the municipality of Gaçanica, regarding the European Union “Single Market Programme”.
Minister Rozeta Hajdari expressed her gratitude to the European Union Office for financial assistance, technical expertise and political support, contributing to the country's progress towards economic development, democratization and European integration.
Minister Hajdari emphasized the importance of good governance with the involvement of all communities in all development and integration processes, informing those present about the EU "Single Market Programme", as one of the most important programs providing new opportunities for the various enterprises and organizations of the participating countries of this program with a budget of 4.2 billion euros for the time period 2021-2027.
This program aims at strengthening the internal market surveillance, improving the competitiveness of the industry, in particular of micro, small and medium enterprises, consumer protection including food safety, improving statistics and improving the financial sector.
Minister Hajdari offered her full support to the entrepreneurs and young people participating in this session, so that they can apply to the future calls of this program and make use of their full potential in entrepreneurship, for more decent employment and production with high added value for regional and international markets, aiming at the socio-economic development of our country.
The Minister for Communities and Returns Nenad Rashiq, the Deputy Head of the EU in Kosovo, Annacarin Plato and EU experts in Kosovo were present at this meeting, contributing to fruitful discussions and additional information for the participants regarding the possibilities of applications and benefits from the Single Market Programme.
The international agreement for Kosovo's participation in the European Single Market Programme was signed on May 11 this year, by Minister Rozeta Hajdari and the Directorate-General for the EU Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW) Mrs. Kerstin Jorna, and this week it was sent by the Government for ratification to the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo.
Minister Hajdari once again called on future entrepreneurs and young entrepreneurs to apply to the ongoing open calls of this program.
