The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade (MIET) held today a workshop with the Agencies for Cooperation and Development with a mission in the Republic of Kosovo to review the Draft Law on Innovation and Entrepreneurship, as well as to find the modality for the proper functioning of the Entrepreneurship Innovation Fund.
Minister Hajdari, in her speech before the audience, praised the excellent cooperation of the development partners with MIET for the empowerment of enterprises and the development of the private sector in Kosovo, while adding that today's workshop will serve as an opportunity to further advance the Draft Law on Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Innovation Fund, identify the real structure model for the governance of the Innovation Fund, with full transparency and accountability, as well as the joint support of donors in the development of innovation and entrepreneurship, according to the principles and effective modalities of OECD.
The workshop continued with presentations of the Draft Law on Innovation and Entrepreneurship by the Director of Innovation at MIET, Mrs. Laura Zherka and the Innovation Fund by the Deputy Minister of MIET, Mr. Mentor Arifaj.
Highlighting the objectives and intended goals, today's discussions focused on the mandate and governance structure of the Innovation Fund, and effective modalities of supporting enterprises to unleash their potential in innovation and industry transformation.
During this workshop, the representatives of the development cooperation partners contributed with very constructive discussions and concrete proposals to the Draft Law on Innovation and Entrepreneurship, pledging their support for the development of innovation and entrepreneurship, which directly contribute to the strengthening of the innovation ecosystem for transformation economic in our country.
