MIET/KIESA today held an informative and guiding session for application in the next call for the beneficial scheme in the field of the industrial ecosystem of the social economy, within the European Union “Single Market” Programme. This next call is aimed at promoting the digital transition of social economy enterprises and SMEs in the Republic of Kosovo.
The "Single Market" programme has a value of EUR 4.2 billion for the period 2021-2027. During the said session, the participants were informed about the main objectives of this Programme, which is the first one for the internal market of the European Union, as one of the largest support programmes, which aims to strengthen the supervision of the internal market, improve the competitiveness of the industry, in particular of micro, small and medium enterprises, consumer protection including food safety, improved statistics as well as improved financial sector.
Acting General Director of the Kosovo Investments and Enterprise Support Agency (KIESA), Mr. Zef Dedaj and the Director of the Department for European Integration and Policy Coordination at MIET, Mr. Irfan Lipovica, emphasized that this programme will increase the competitiveness of Kosovar businesses and will enable businesses to increase their partnership by developing even further in the environment of doing business.
Mr. Dedaj and Mr. Lipovica, together with the technical assistance team "Supporting Kosovo with European programmes", provided instructions for application in the current call for the beneficial scheme in the field of the industrial ecosystem of the social economy, within the European Union "Single Market” Programme. Businesses were provided the information that should be taken into consideration before and during the application so that their application is considered successful, while they were also informed of the application procedures.
Mr. Dedaj also informed the businesses that KIESA as a contact point will keep them constantly informed about future calls for grants within the "Single Market" Programme.
The meeting was attended by representatives from Kosovo's institutions, representatives of businesses and associations.
The Republic of Kosovo has signed the agreement with the European Union, dated May 11, 2023, to be part of the "Single Market" Programme, as a crucial step towards the process of socio-economic development and integration of Kosovo into the EU.
