MIET/KIESA support “Kosovar Business Weeks 2023”, they call for the purchase of local products

Today’s event, organized by the Alliance of Kosovar Businesses (AKB), supported by the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, respectively by the KIESA Agency, in a festive spirit, on the eve of the Albanian national flag holiday on November 28, marked the opening of “Kosovo Business Weeks 2023”, with the special motto BUY LOCAL PRODUCTS.

The main purpose of this event is to evaluate and strengthen local creativity with valuable products through the support of various government policies and tools, creating connections between businesses with subsequent discussions between government representatives and the business community, about tools and support schemes for local producers, in order to reveal their potential in the manufacturing industry, with a leading role for economic, social and environmental development in our country.

In the framework of this activity, the products of over 50 manufacturing businesses of the local industry and of about 40 women entrepreneurs as members of craft and agricultural associations were exhibited.

In her speech to the audience, the Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Mrs. Rozeta Hajdari, said that Kosovo has an inexhaustible wealth of natural and human resources, which through the implementation of the Industrial Policy 2030 and with effective use of the potential of the manufacturing industry, will bring products with high added value to the local and international market and faster economic development and transformation in our country.

By emphasizing the motto of the event "BUY LOCAL PRODUCTS" and by calling on our households to have quality and safe local products, every day of the year, she said that this is the way to strengthen the economy and our country.

She added that such an event serves as an opportunity to support and celebrate the talent and passion of our entrepreneurs, who are continuously highlighting the innovation and quality of products and services, for the local and international market.

Today's conference was concluded with a panel discussion on the topic: "Development and Promotion of local products", where the tools and support schemes for local entrepreneurs were presented, which aim the advancement of technology, standardization and certification, digitization and training for business management in order to increase local industrial production and exports to improve the trade balance, in which case the participants had the opportunity to ask numerous questions to the panelists.

The activities within the Business Weeks will continue with conferences, promotions, roundtables and forums with different topics for further development and promotion of local industrial production and export growth.
