In order to guarantee transparency, correctness and protection of citizens’ interests, and based on Law No. 06/L-034 on Consumer Protection, within the framework of the responsibilities of the Department for Consumer Protection, on 31.03.2026, a special commission for the verification of electricity meters was established.
MIETI informs the public that so far no complaints have been received from consumers regarding suspected electricity meter miscalculations. However, starting from 01.04.2026 (Wednesday), the commission will go out into the field to verify the electricity meters of every consumer who files a complaint.
On this occasion, MIETI calls upon all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, who are electricity users, to notify the Department for Consumer Protection, on the toll-free number 0800 11000, or via the email address: konsumatori@rks-gov.net, for any suspicion regarding the irregular functioning of electricity meters in their residential buildings.
