This action is taken as part of the ongoing activities of verifying electricity meters throughout the territory of the Republic of Kosovo. The Verification Commission is continuing its field work in the seven regions of the country, with the aim of identifying and addressing any irregularities.
The results so far from laboratory analyses conducted at the Kosovo Metrology Agency have identified inaccuracies in the recording of the time and date in the meters tested.
In this regard, MIETI has officially submitted a request to KESCO for compensation for damaged customers and will continue to follow up on a daily basis with the relevant reports as supporting evidence for this process.
At the same time, the Verification Commission is in close cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office and investigative bodies for the further handling of this issue.
MIETI remains committed to full transparency and will inform citizens on a regular basis about any developments, in order to protect consumers and handle their complaints.
