The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade, and Innovation (MIETI) announces that the Central Inspectorate for Market Supervision (CIMS) is continuously monitoring the prices of petroleum products within the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.
Based on import prices declared by Kosovo Customs, no instances of price abuse regarding the sale of these products have been observed to date.
To keep consumers informed, the Ministry states that if price abuse by fuel retailers is detected and verified, it will consider reinstating the decision to set a maximum allowable trade margin for wholesale sales.
According to official Customs reports, the import price for petroleum products over the last 24 hours was €1.83, while retail prices at service stations, according to CIMS reports, ranged from €1.92 to €1.94.
Meanwhile, the import price for gasoline over the last 24 hours was €1.54, and the retail price ranged from €1.61 to €1.67.
MIETI assures consumers that there is full market supervision, but the rise in fuel prices is not due to domestic price fluctuations; rather, it stems from the escalating conflict in the Middle East and the consequent increase in supply costs.
