The minister Hykmete Bajrami, hosted at the meeting the Kosovo Custom’s Director General Bahri Berishën.
The subject of discussion was deepening of cooperation between the Ministry of Trade and Industry and Kosovo Custom on facilitating trade, fighting informality and fiscal envision, as well as increase the quality control of imported fuel in the Republic of Kosovo.
Initially the minister Bajrami congratulated Mr. Berisha for assigning new position as General Director of the Kosovo Custom, and informed him about the MTI engagements for improving business environment, SSA implementation, trade facilities, strengthening of market surveillance inspection and consumer protection. She expressed the readiness of the Ministry of Trade and Industry to cooperate closely with Kosovo Customs on meeting institutional mandate in function to improvement of economic situation in our country.
Minister Bajrami stopped at the Administrative Instruction for Fuel Quality Control singed by her, and through which AI will transfer powers to the Kosovo Customs for quality control at the borders for imported fuel.
On his behalf, Customs Director Bahri Berisha, thanked minister Bajrami for her and Ministry’s engagement, also the Kosovo’s Customs readiness to cooperate in common activities for successful enforcement of this AI that will affect significantly in quality control of imported fuel in our country.
