The minister Hykmete Bajrami took part at the conference “Women’s Entrepreneurs Program” organized by TEB Bank, on the occasion of 8 March, the Women’s International Day.
At this event has participated representatives of TEB Bank, Swisscontact, EBRD, Women’s Business Association “SHE-RA” and women’s business representatives, where they discussed the women’s entrepreneurs opportunities, challenges and barriers that are facing in Kosovo.
In her speech, Minister Bajrami stated that the Government program in its focused has the empowerment of Kosovo women and is working to create more suitable conditions for Kosovo women to become important actors in Kosovo economy, and this is being done through various programs, such as making easier the access to finance, supporting the capacity building, promotion, counseling, etc..
Mrs. Bajrami added that we are supporting women entrepreneurs through their participation in various trade fairs, through placing their businesses in to industrial parks, etc. Also, Minister Bajrami said that recent amendments made to the Law on Inheritance are also one of the facilities that will help in empowering businesswomen access to finance, so that they can enhance and develop their businesses more.
Minister Bajrami thanked TEB Bank for organizing this conference and for their joint program which is being implemented together with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and other stakeholders, by contributing to increase the access to finance for women’s entrepreneurs in Kosovo.
