The Minister of Economy, Employment, Trade, Industry, Entrepreneurship and Strategic Investments (MEETIESI), Rozeta Hajdari, on Wednesday, has discussed with local and international chambers of commerce operating in Kosovo, as well as with local manufacturers and importers.
Minister Hajdari has listened them expressing their concerns about the implementation of measures taken by the Government's decisions and instructions for protection and care related to the COVID-19 pandemic, during their economic activity, offering ongoing support and communication to clarify all instructions given for the implementation of relevant guideline measures and directives for economic activities related to the current state – public health emergency.
The Minister promised full coordination between businesses and the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, explaining also the instructions undertaken by MEETIESI regarding the conduction of businesses activity after the situation created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The minister said that it is in the service of businesses and that businesses can address their concerns openly, adding that the guidelance received at this time is due to the state of the COVID-19 pandemic, in order to affect as less as possible on the activity of businesses that are permited to work.
At the meeting, which was held outdoors in an open environment, with Minister Hajdari were: President of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce Berat Rukiqi, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo Arian Zeka, President of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce Skender Krasniqi, Executive Director of the Producers Club Astrit Panxha, Executive Director of the German-Kosovo Chamber of Commerce Nora Hasani, Executive Director of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce Vjosa Huruglica, Executive Director of Retail Association Yllka Metaj, Latif Kryeziu from “Shell Kosova”, other associations and also manufacturers and importers of the country. Minister Hajdari as Minister in charge of the Kurti`s Government, for the economic development of the country welcomes the business representatives to her cabinet to express all concerns related to business, to discuss and address them together, in the following days.
