In the framework of the Berlin Process Forum, which was held in Tirana, the Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari met with Mr. Florian Frauscher, Director General of Economic Affairs, Innovation and International Policy at the Federal Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs in Austria.
In this meeting, Minister Hajdari emphasized that Austria is one of the main investors in Kosovo, and in addition to favorable fiscal policies with the low corporate tax of 10%, she pointed out on increasing of exports and investments, the growing development of industrial sectors, policy development and adoption of dozens of laws, establishment of the Commercial Court, and consequently improvement of the doing business environment and easier access to the rule of law for businesses.
While, Mr. Frauscher stressed out the Kosovo-Austria economic forum of the upcoming year, the interest of Austrian businesses to invest in Kosovo, and expressed his willingness to include Austrian companies in various projects, and also with the Innovation and Standardization Agency in Austria to share professional experiences with relevant institutions in the Republic of Kosovo.
In relation to the economic cooperation and increasing of inter-institutional exchanges, during this meeting various topics were also discussed, including the quality infrastructure for industry, innovation and tourism area.
In the end, the Austrian director Frauscher expressed his condolence in relation to the situation with the terrorist attack in the north of Kosovo.
