The meeting was held within the framework of the workshop carried out by the Department of Tourism, within the Ministry of Industry, Enterprise and Trade, aiming at familiarising the relevant actors and operators with the Administrative Instructions, which, for the first time in the Republic of Kosovo, regulates the activity of tourist guides and tourist services of active and adventurous tourism.
On this occasion, Minister Hajdari offered unconditional support and close cooperation so that the promotion of tourism in our country is as good and professional as possible, leading Kosovo towards the path of being a competitive tourist destination.
Minister Rozeta Hajdari called for tourist guides to apply to the Department of Tourism to be registered in the Tourism Registry and be provided with a tourist guide ID card, in order for our culture, history and attractions be presented by local professionals, and not as it used to be, i.e., the guides from the region countries would present our cultural heritage and our country differently as it is to foreign tourists.
I am happy that we will equip the first tourist guides in the Republic of Kosovo with ID cards, said the Minister.
The discussion with the representatives of the guides and all the participants was open and extremely fruitful, taking into account and considering every idea and opinion presented in this workshop.
