Minister Hajdari met with another business supported by MIET which exports low voltage cables to seven countries

The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Mrs. Rozeta Hajdari continued the field visit to another business that is receiving financial support from MIET through the CERP Program.

This time, Minister Hajdari, along with Deputy Minister Arifaj, advisers and CERP officials were received at a meeting by the owners of Proton Cable company in Prizren. The company produces copper wire, granulate and low voltage electrical cables primarily used in construction. It is a fully automated company that utilizes the most modern technology.

The products of this company are exported to seven European countries, with exports accounting for 30% of total sales. These countries include Albania, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and North Macedonia.

Through financial support in the amount of 95 thousand Euros, Proton Cable has successfully purchased and implemented advanced technology for the production of aluminum cables. Additionally, they have obtained certification and standardization for their products, along with training services to support the growth of this business.

The Government of the Republic of Kosovo, with the financial support of businesses, is harnessing the potential of local producers, and through the Industrial Policy, this potential will be further developed, enabling the local industry to produce products with high added value for both the local and international markets. The aim is for the local industry to become the primary driver of social, economic and environmental development in our Republic.
