The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, and Trade, Ms. Rozeta Hajdari, has concluded her official visit to Austria, where, in addition to the constructive meeting with the Federal Minister of Labour and Economy, Mr. Martin Kocher, she held a series of meetings mainly with Austrian institutions for innovation and technology development and for business support.
An important meeting was held with the Managing Director Karin Tausz and colleagues from the Austrian Research and Innovation Promotion Agency (FFG), who informed us about the functions and activities of this agency in the field of applied and industrial research in Austria.
The discussions of this meeting subsequent to the presentation of the Austrian model of the Innovation Fund resulted in fruitful reflections and comparisons for the Draft Law on Innovation and Entrepreneurship drawn up by the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, and Trade of the Republic of Kosovo.
The expertise of the FFG through valuable proposals and comments in the finalization of this law has been engaged through the "EnInGeP" Project with funding from the Austrian Development Agency and is being implemented by Care International and ECIKS.
FFG is in the ownership of the Republic of Austria, through the Federal Ministry of Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology and the Federal Ministry of Labour and Economy.
The subsequent visit to the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) resulted in fruitful discussions with the Scientific Director Dr. Andreas Kugi and colleagues, where Minister Hajdari and advisers and collaborators from the "EnInGeP" Project team had the opportunity to closely observe the research projects and laboratories of AIT, the largest non-university research institute in Austria.
AIT provides research and technology development to realize fundamental innovations for the next generation of infrastructure-related technologies.
