The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Mrs. Rozeta Hajdari, participated in the Energy for Equality activity, organized by MCC/MCA Kosovo, which aims to involve active businesses and civil society organizations in the energy sector, promoting the involvement of women and minorities in this area.
Businesses and NGOs will have the opportunity to apply for grants and awards, while women interested in developing a career in the energy sector are invited to apply for training, mentoring, professional practices and collaboration networks.
This activity is implemented within the Just and Equitable Transition Acceleration (JETA) project, one of the three main projects of the Compact Program, worth 236.7 million dollars, signed on 28 July 2022 between the Government of Kosovo and the United States of America.
This program represents the largest and most innovative investment of recent decades, creating the foundations for Kosovo's transition to green energy and contributing to energy security and the socio-economic transformation of the country.
Energy for Equality focuses on increasing the representation of women in the energy sector and similar sectors through networking, mentoring, training, as well as technical assistance and grants for employers, bringing about a significant change in this sector.
