The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari, yesterday participated in the Albanian Business Fair in Austria, organized by the Global Business Network of the Albanian Diaspora.
At this fair, were present the Ambassador of Kosovo in Austria, Lulzim Pllana, the Ambassador of Albania in Austria, Roland Bimo, representatives from USAID, Caritas, Germin and other representatives of the business network from Europe.
In her welcoming speech, Minister Hajdari thanked them for the invitation, congratulating all those present for the excellent organization of the fair with representation from our businesses in Kosovo and Austria. She expressed her happiness that on behalf of Prime Minister Kurti, she was close to many successful Albanian businesses, and said that only united we can achieve more successes.
Minister Hajdari added that with good cooperation and by complementing each other, we bring added value to our products, to participate even more in the value chain in the region and beyond.
"Our diaspora is the truest asset in the areas where it resides, because it brings with it not only financial support, but also human capital by transferring knowledge, culture, western architecture and others, therefore they are the driving force of our economy. During our governing mandate, we are making many structural reforms to facilitate doing business, with new policies and laws to encourage and protect investments from the diaspora and wider in Kosovo, while with proper analysis we have identified the potential of our industry, for more jobs and increased competitiveness. Thus, taking into consider the recent global movements, with the needs of businesses for new relocations in Southeast Europe, Wiiw studies from Austria emphasize that the Republic of Kosovo offers great advantages for investments for businesses from Europe and beyond," added Minister Hajdari.
Among many other advantages, she highlighted the potential of our innovative young people, with digital skills and competence for production in various industrial sectors, such as: the wood sector, metal industry, non-metal industry, plastic, textile, chemical, beverages and food etc. She reiterated that with the proactivity of businesses with competence and high intelligence of human resources and with our natural assets, we will be able to produce products with added value, to be part of the value chain in the global market and to provide worthy employment to our youth.
In conclusion, Minister Hajdar said that, while the diaspora has always protected and helped our country, we are working for the rule of law in our country and for creating a favourable environment to promote and protect investments from diaspora, for using as much as possible the large entries of remittances from diaspora.
The Albanian Business Fair is an important event for Albanian businesses in Austria. Over 60 Albanian companies from Austria and Kosovo were presented at the fair throughout the day to the Albanian and Austrian public. Participating businesses are from the sectors of wood, iron, beverages and food, construction, aesthetics, information technology, tourism, gardening, sports and other service sectors.
With the participation of Albanian businesses with export potential from the Republic of Kosovo and Austria, B2B networking meetings were held, resulting in agreements for supply and export from Kosovo to Austria. The participation of Kosovar companies was supported by the MARD project funded from Caritas and implemented by KIESA and GERMIN.
