Minister Hajdari participated in the Competition Day

The Kosovo Competition Authority organized for the first time the Competition Day, where the Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari, was also present.

Present at this conference were also the European Union Office in Kosovo representatives, who support the Competition Authority, the representatives of Competition Authorities from other countries, as well as the businesses representatives in Kosovo.

The Minister of the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari, said that fair competition and free trade are the foundations of our institutional operation, adding that businesses are conceived as partners in general collective development, strengthening citizenship and cultivating a free trade and vital competition.

In addition to economic and industrial policies, Minister Hajdari also mentioned the Law on the Protection of Competition, drafted last year by MIET.

This law defines the rules and measures for protection of free and effective competition on the market, competencies, organization of the Authority for Protection of Competition as well as the procedures concerning implementation of this law.

The market liberalization and creation of opportunities for free entry into the market, the increased productivity and competition are important objectives for sustainable economic development of the state, added the Minister.

The Government of the Republic of Kosovo is reflecting on favorable trade policies, guaranteeing fair and loyal competition in the market, guaranteeing absolute rights for all consumers, and eliminating any informal practices in the market, as this is the only way we can build an equal environment for all parties involved in our market, emphasized Minister Rozeta Hajdari.
