On the occasion of the launch of two new guarantee schemes ” Window-Women in Business ” and “Start-up Window”, by the Kosovo Credit Guarantee Fund, the Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Mrs. Rozeta Hajdari has once again expressed her support for women entrepreneurs and start-ups, emphasizing that the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, from the beginning, has been part of the establishment of the fund and has contributed to the drafting of the law and the founding capital of Kosovo Credit Guarantee Fund (KCGF).
The KCGF, with continuous funding from the Government for the support of the private sector, is also included as one of the instruments of the successful implementation of the Industrial Policy 2030. During 2022, MIET has subsidized investment loans to local businesses in the amount of 5.5 million Euros in KCGF, from measure 2.1 of the Economic Recovery Package and in this year 2023 another 5 million Euros in the KCGF to subsidize the loans of local businesses.
While Minister Hajdari has wished for further strengthening with funding from the national budget and international institutions, she has pledged that she will always support businesses and advocate for addressing and solving their problems both at local and international institutions.
"Window -Women in Business " will be a new and special channel that is offered to women, for easier access and use, feeling deservedly a little more privileged, Minister Hajdari added, saying that women have proven in practice, that they are just as good as women, just as good managers, and just as visionary in business and development, as men, if not even more so.
While commenting on the launch of the next window for Start-Ups, Minister Hajdari said that this window also has great importance and multidimensional impact, economic, social and national, because it is significantly easier for young entrepreneurs, ideas for creating businesses solving a crucial problem for openness in the world of entrepreneurship.
This window embraces the social impact, because self-employment and employment of young people captures active numerical values, fosters stability, useful engagement and utilization of human capacities.
‘The effects of this window are numerous and sound at the national level, especially in these times when Kosovo's greatest asset – which is our youth – has an increased motivation to leave the country and is invited from around the world to emigrate, precisely for the values it carries, therefore we have a duty to make and enable young people to be contributors to our Republic, for which we are sincerely trying and committing ourselves every day' added Minister Hajdari.
Minister Hajdari said that the opening of two new windows by the Kosovo Credit Guarantee Fund justifies the initial purpose of creating this Fund as an important extender of hand and helper for businesses, a fact that makes us happy because it will continue to have an influential seal even in the growth and development of our state.
