In her opening speech, Minister Hajdari emphasized the crucial and interconnected role of the manufacturing industry in architecture. She noted that the manufacturing sector is the second highest sector in adopting artificial intelligence, which significantly impacts product development and design, machinery maintenance, quality assurance, defect inspection, and production line automation to enhance production processes.
Minister Hajdari announced the vision of the Government of Kosovo and the strategic objectives of the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade (MIET) in unlocking the potential of the manufacturing industry and innovation to more effectively contribute to the country’s overall development. She highlighted the establishment of the Innovation and Enterprise Support Agency and the creation of the Innovation Fund as mechanisms to support innovation in various productive and creative industrial sectors, including architecture.
Emphasizing the importance of cooperation between industry and academia, Minister Hajdari highlighted the ongoing capital investments from MIET in expanding physical spaces for entities and individuals carrying out innovative activities and developing the innovative ecosystem, through the construction of business incubators and entrepreneurship innovation centers within public universities and other institutional properties in Kosovo.
At the beginning of the conference, speeches were also delivered by the Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, Mr. Liburn Aliu, the Minister of Economy, Mrs. Artane Rizvanolli, the Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Mrs. Arbërie Nagavci, the Mayor of the Municipality of Pristina, Mr. Përparim Rama, and the Rector of the University of Pristina, Mr. Arben Hajrullahu.
