The central ceremony in honor of the Independence Day of the Republic of Kosovo was preceded by a business forum where the Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, Faton Peci, representatives of KIESA and the Chamber of Commerce of Kosovo (KCC), spoke to the audience about the investment climate and opportunities for doing business in Kosovo.
Minister Hajdari, addressing to the participants in this forum, the representatives of the institutions of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Chambers of Commerce and the representatives of the countries participating in "Expo 2020 Dubai", has promoted the appropriate business climate, the excellent opportunities that Kosovo offers for foreign investments, economic potentials, reforms in the service of good governance, important in guaranteeing the success of an investor.
In the continuance of the presentation, Minister Hajdari presented the competitive advantages that Kosovo has as an investment destination for foreign businessmen, which include: Euro official currency, legislation in accordance with EU legislation, simple and favourable tax system, stable banking system, young population as a well-educated workforce with many spoken languages, geographical location with developed road infrastructure, digital and close access to seaports, etc.
Competitive advantages and description of Kosovo industry were elaborated more by government colleagues, by Faton Peci, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, by Zef Dedaj, Acting Chief Executive Officer for KIESA and by Muela Ibrahimi, representative of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce.
As a final point, the UAE paved the way for economic connexions in terms of economic cooperation and agreed to establish a joint economic committee for more economic exchanges in addition to good political relations.
