The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Mrs. Rozeta Hajdari, received the new Austrian Ambassador to Kosovo, Mr. Georg Schnetzer, accompanied by Mrs. Sandra Horina, Head of the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) in Pristina.
During this meeting, the new ambassador Schnetzer was informed about the mandate, policies and programmes of MIET, the EU Progress Report and strategies with three-year plans for industry and business support, tourism, innovation and entrepreneurship.
Ambassador Schnetzer expressed his gratitude for MIET's current progress, while offering his full support for the expansion of cooperation in new economic areas.
In addition to other areas of economic cooperation, Ambassador Schnetzer added that Austria is interested in supporting the Republic of Kosovo in the field of Tourism, with the potential to further contribute to the development and promotion of the country.
Minister Hajdari informed Ambassador Schnetzer about the plans regarding tourism, the sector of the service industry which is one of the strategic sectors defined by the Law on Sustainable Investments.
Finally, Minister Hajdari and Ambassador Schnetzer agreed to explore the possibilities of cooperation in the priority industrial production and service sectors, which are the main drivers of economic, social and environmental development in our country.
