The identification of the necessary profiles of Education and Vocational Training against the needs of the labour market has been the topic of conversation with businesses from the Wood and furniture sector as well as with businesses from the Food and Beverage sector, the two meetings that took place in the premises of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.
The representatives of the Wood processing, Food and Beverage Sector businesses were welcomed by the Prime Minister of the country Mr Albin Kurti, the Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Mrs Rozeta Hajdari and the Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Mrs Arbërie Nagavci.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo Mr. Albin Kurti, said that the Government of the Republic of Kosovo considers the connection of Education and Vocational Training in the Labor Market as one of the pillars of the economic development of the country, through which it will be aimed to secure a job in our economy for a school diploma.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Mrs Rozeta Hajdari thanked the present entrepreneurs for their contribution to increasing the added value of production and employment of a significant workforce.
She also expressed gratitude for the contribution of entrepreneurs with their industrial associations, in the drafting of the Industrial Strategy 2030 to transform the industry into a more globally integrated industry, which can produce products with added value and provide decent employment, emphasizing that MINT in close cooperation with MEST and businesses, will address the widespread mismatch of skills, with the identification of profiles and the development of curricula. for a skilled workforce for faster industrial development and transformation.
And the Minister of MEST, Mrs. Arbërie Nagavci said that last year, for the first time, the implementation of the dual system of learning in four AAP profiles began, which means that in 51%, or half of the time during the three years, the students will spend it in practice in our enterprises.
