The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Mrs. Rozeta Hajdari, accompanied by the Chief of Cabinet of MIET, Mr. Kushtrim Dakaj and the Acting General Director of the Kosovo Investments and Enterprise Support Agency (KIESA), Mr. Zef Dedaj, visited the Industrial Park in the Economic Zone of Qylaga in Lipjan, as part of the World Entrepreneurship Week, which event is also being marked in our country.
This industrial park is being financially supported by MIET with an additional 600 thousand euros, and upon the completion of the works, it will become a specialized, environment-friendly, and attractive area for both local and international businesses.
Minister Hajdari was received by the Vice-Mayor of the Municipality of Lipjan, Mr. Diamant Bytyqi and the Director of Economic Development, Mr. Valon Pacolli, who informed Minister Hajdari about the progress of the works being carried out in that area. According to them, the works are now at the stage of investments that includes the completion of the physical infrastructure, such as the functionalization of the sewage system, the electricity network, the water supply and the fences of the park, and upon their completion, the area will become fully functional for businesses.
Meanwhile, Minister Hajdari said that the continuous increase in the number of businesses and the further expansion of industrial parks and technology parks across the country are positive indicators of socio-economic development in the country. Further, she added that the institutional support through investments in industrial and technological parks aims to develop the ecosystem in different industrial sectors and to transform our industry in order to integrate into the global market.
The Industrial Park in the Economic Zone in Qylaga of Lipjan was established and certified by MIET through KIESA and covers an area of 54 hectares. After the completion of the works, dozens of businesses are expected to settle in 10 ha of this area to continue with their daily operations.
