The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Mrs. Rozeta Hajdari, participated today in the launch of the public call for subsidies for efficient heating equipment in support of micro, small and medium enterprises, financed by the European Union (EU) and organized under the patronage of the Minister of Economy, Mrs. Artane Rizvanolli.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Albin Kurti, Representative of the EU Office in Kosovo, Mr. Alesandro Bianciardi, international partners and business representatives attended the event.
During the launch event, the attendees were informed of the positive effect of the precautionary measures supporting efficient equipment, which have also contributed to the reduction of overall energy consumption. Furthermore, it was emphasized that such support is now continuing for micro, small and medium enterprises, which will invest in efficient heating equipment.
In this regard, it was noted that the Industrial Policy through its fourth objective aims at transition to a green and digital economy. It addresses, inter alia, the facilitation of circular and green industry, which encourages the transition to greener manufacturing where manufacturing waste is intended to be used as inputs for other manufacturing processes.
Likewise, it was underscored that the energy and CO2-intensive efficiency of the manufacturing sector in Kosovo has improved and that maximum efforts are being made to ensure that through technological development the manufacturing industry is oriented towards energy efficiency.
This call was opened today by the Ministry of Economy within Measure 5 of the Action Plan on Mitigating the Immediate Socio-Economic Impact of the Energy Crisis and aims to support micro, small and medium businesses, encouraging them to invest in the installation of efficient heating equipment.
