The Minister of Trade and Industry, Bajram Hasani, hosted at the meeting the representatives of CEFTA, led by CEFTA’s director, Emir Djikic, where they discussed issues related to the CEFTA Secretariat, with particular emphasis on Kosovo’s presidency with the CEFTA agreement in 2018.
Minister Hasani vowed to support the MTI’s Officials and the CEFTA Secretariat in preparing the most successful meetings. While, Director Djikic pledged that the CEFTA Secretariat will help Kosovo to have a better lead.
It was also said that the prime ministers of the region have pledged that their countries will contribute to a deeper trade cooperation between all CEFTA member states.
Meanwhile, Director Djikic informed Minister Hasani about the preparations made by the CEFTA Secretariat together with the member states to fulfill all the obligations arising from the so-called "multiannual plan" document. For this purpose, Minister Hasani offered his full support and assured Director Djikic that the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Government of Kosovo will be actively looking into the process and will accurately fulfill every obligations arising from the Multiannual Plan.
It was discussed on increasing the annual financial contribution of each economy of CEFTA, due to the additional activities of the regional agenda. In principle, Minister Hasani expressed his readiness to support the Secretariat, also he pledges to allocate funds which are foreseen to be an additional contribution.
