The Minister of Trade and Industry, Vesel Krasniqi, received the Austrian Ambassador to Kosovo, Christoph Weidinger.
Minister Krasniqi informed the Ambassador about the commitment of the Government of Kosovo to support businesses in overcoming the challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Minister said that the Government of Kosovo has divided into two phases the assistance to businesses, which according to him, the first phase is the emergency fiscal package, in order to keep businesses active and the second phase is economic recovery.
The Minister also informed the Ambassador about the Law on Strategic Investments, which offers many facilities for potential investors, and at the same time he asked the Ambassador to invite Austrian businesses to invest in Kosovo.
Minister Krasniqi thanked the Ambassador Weidinger for the continuous support that Austria has given to Kosovo in all important processes that Kosovo has gone through.
Whereas, Ambassador Weidinger congratulated the new duty to the Minister Krasniqi, expressing the readiness of his country to further strengthen the Kosovo-Austria relations, especially in the economic aspect.
Ambassador Weidinger said that he considers the partnership between Austria and Kosovo as very important.
