The Minister of Trade and Industry, Vesel Krasniqi, together with the Deputy Minister Nexhat Ramadani, on Thursday, have visited several manufacturing businesses in the municipality of Suhareka.
Minister Krasniqi, after being closely acquainted with the problems caused by the pandemic, said that after voting in the second reading of the economic recovery package, help will be provided to all businesses
"We have taken the initiative to visit manufacturing companies in our country that will continue in the coming days and weeks to see them closely related to the problems caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. We as MTI, together with the government cabinet, will make efforts to help them and put all their suggestions into action. We have approved the draft law for economic recovery in the first reading, we hope that the second reading will take place very soon, so we could be able to help businesses ", said Krasniqi.
In this visit, Minister Krasniqi was accompanied by the Mayor of Suhareka, Bali Muharremaj, who asked for support from the latter for the creation of an industrial zone in Biraq.
The owner of the company "Frutex", Shaqir Palushi, informed the minister in detail about the challenges and difficulties that have been faced as a result of the pandemic
"We have submitted some requests for helping the manufacturing sector as a strategic sector either through tax exemptions or profit tax on export value. If these requirements are achieved, I think that the measures of the emergency package will ease the negative impact of the pandemic", said Palushi.
Likewise, during this visit Minister Krasniqi also stressed that the local producer it is and it will be a priority of support during my mandate as Minister of Trade and Industry.
