The Minister of Trade and Industry, Vesel Krasniqi visited the company “Agribau” in Prishtina, which imports machinery of various brands, mainly agricultural machinery
Minister Krasniqi has initially informed the leaders of this company about the obligations that Kosovo has to the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) and that for this we have issued Administrative Instruction 02/2020 on machinery, which provides that our businesses are required to meet certain standards within the conformity mark during trading.
"The main reason for this joint visit is to find out closely that these machines, which are imported in Kosovo, meet all legal requirements, respectively meet the basic requirements and requirements of harmonized standards, which are accompanied by technical documentation (declaration of conformity and certificate of conformity) for placing on the market and at the same time provide security during use", said Minister Krasniqi.
He announced that the Ministry of Trade and Industry has appointed special inspectors regarding the inspection of machinery, who will require form businesses to meet the standards through declarations during import.
Minister Krasniqi restated the fact that we as the Minister of Trade and Industry are committed to increase support for businesses operating in this sector, for the certification of their products with special schemes and we will also increase inspection supervision activities to guarantee a market with safe products.
