The Minister of Trade and Industry, Vesel Krasniqi, with associates, has visited the Economic Zone in Qylage of Lipjan, respectively the Industrial Park to see how the development of the works.
Minister Krasniqi said that such areas are very important for the economy of our country, where investments in this project reach the value of 2.3 million euros, which includes an area of 25 hectares.
"Today, we have come to the Economic Zone, here in Qylaga of Lipjan, to see closely the works of this area and to find out the stage these works have reached. Despite the situation caused by pandemic, economic operator promised to carry out the works according to the dynamic plan provided in the terms of the contract, and this year will complete all planned works ", said Minister Krasniqi, adding that from what we saw today here we are satisfied with the works and I must say that it is a very important area for this locality and in general for the economy of our country.
Also, the Minister emphasized the fact that the first phase of this project includes 10 hectares, worth 560 thousand euros and that we are in co-financing with the Municipality of Lipjan, which will participate with 50 thousand euros.
According to Minister Krasniqi, by the end of this year, a part of this project will be finalized, in order to invite businesses to apply.
The Minister announced that the economic zone in question lies in a very strategic part of the country, where it is only 8 km away from the Airport "Adem Jashari" and only 22 km from Pristina.
Whereas, the owner of the company contracted for this project, Agim Morina, said that the works will be completed according to the plan.
The Ministry of Trade and Industry through the Kosovo Investment and Enterprise Support Agency (KIESA) and in cooperation with the Municipality of Lipjan, in 2016, have started the first investments in the construction of physical infrastructure: construction of road infrastructure, construction of sewerage, water supply works, digging the plateau for business spaces, starting with levelling the terrain.
