The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, together with the Mayor of the Municipality of Gjilan, Alban Hyseni, visited the process of verifying scales during the wheat harvest-threshing season, with the aim of guaranteeing accurate measurements and protecting farmers and consumers.
During the visit, the 60-ton scale was verified at the “Alia Commerc” Mill, owned by Ridvan Rrahmani, in the village of Cërnica, Municipality of Gjilan.
The verification process confirmed that the scale operates within the permitted metrological standards, while after the completion of the control, the official verification mark was also placed.
Minister Kusari-Lila emphasized that these controls are of particular importance for the protection of consumers and farmers, as they guarantee accurate measurements during the receipt and storage of wheat in the milling mills.
She added that regular verification of measuring instruments contributes to the development of fair trade and to strengthening citizens’ trust in measurement processes.
