Minister Kusari-Lila at the Western Balkans Circular Economy Expo 2026: Circular economy, an opportunity for industrial development

The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, participated in the second edition of the Western Balkans Circular Economy Expo 2026, where the role of the circular economy in industrial transformation, the green transition and the creation of new opportunities for businesses were discussed.

At this event, together with Minister Fitore Pacolli, Sweden’s Ambassador to Kosovo, Åsa Pehrson, as well as representatives of institutions, businesses, academia and development organisations from Kosovo and the region, perspectives were exchanged on the opportunities that the circular economy offers for industrial development and increasing business competitiveness.

Minister Kusari-Lila emphasised that the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, through the Industrial Development and Business Support Strategy 2030, is working towards developing a more modern industry, with greater production capacities and products with higher added value.

In this regard, industrial parks and the development of eco-parks create conditions for attracting investment, cooperation between businesses and more efficient use of resources. These developments aim to support innovation and help local businesses increase their presence in European markets.

According to Minister Kusari-Lila, the aim is for Kosovo’s industry to create more value within the country and link economic growth with environmental protection. Through the development of industrial parks and the implementation of circular economy principles, MIETI aims to create more opportunities for investment and innovation, contributing to building a more competitive and sustainable economy.
