Minister Kusari-Lila attended a reception marking Ireland’s assumption of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union

The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, attended a reception organized by the Embassy of Ireland in Kosovo and the European Union Office in Kosovo on the occasion of Ireland taking over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

On this occasion, Minister Kusari-Lila praised the good relations between Kosovo and Ireland, built on shared values of democracy, peace, and cooperation. She emphasized that Ireland has been an important supporter of Kosovo since the beginning of its independence, as well as of the country’s European perspective.

Minister Kusari-Lila reiterated that Kosovo’s path toward membership in the European Union remains a strategic priority, while the support and engagement of friendly countries, such as Ireland, are of particular importance for advancing this process.

She also expressed her expectation that the Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union would provide new momentum for the enlargement process, by following a fair and merit-based approach toward Kosovo.
