The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, held meetings today with representatives of two companies operating in different fields, which see Kosovo as a country with opportunities for investment and development of new projects.
In the first meeting, Minister Kusari-Lila hosted representatives of the Belgian company SettleMint, co-founder and director Matthew Van Niekerk and Ian Bevers, together with the local partner Gjikolli & Partners LLC, represented by Lum Gjikolli.
This meeting presented an innovative initiative in the field of tokenization, which aims to create new opportunities for capital mobilization and attracting foreign direct investment in Kosovo. In this regard, the identification of concrete areas of interest for the country’s economic development was discussed.
The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Defense, Gegë Lleshi, and Diar Beqaj, with whom they discussed the opportunities offered by new technologies and financial models for the development of the economy and the attraction of new capital.
During the day, Minister Kusari-Lila also met with the couple Bailey and Visar Grajçevci, with whom she discussed concrete projects in the field of tourism and welfare services. The conversation focused on the opportunities for developing Kosovo’s mountain tourism offer and creating an offer that can be attractive throughout the year.
In this regard, it was assessed that international experience and the American model of doing business can bring new approaches to the development of mountain tourism and welfare services in Kosovo.
Kosovo, although a country with a small territory, has great potential for development in various sectors. For this reason, connecting this potential with people, technology and capital is important for creating sustainable investments and economic development.
