The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, held a meeting with the leaders of the American company Dardania Capital and its partners from NVIDIA and Hercules Capital, Albion Calaj, Jim Chapman, Francesco Torricelli, Jon Kondo, Roy Liu, Mira Pogaci and Faton Gjuka.
During the meeting, the company’s plans were discussed regarding the implementation of the strategic project for the construction of the AI Factory in Kosovo, a modern data center equipped with the most advanced artificial intelligence technology. The project foresees a capacity of 1.2 GW, aiming to be the first of its kind in the region and in Central Europe.
Minister Kusari-Lila emphasized that this investment is in line with the strategic priorities of the Government of Kosovo for digitalization, innovation and economic development, creating a basis for the advancement of the knowledge and technology economy.
The meeting also assessed the importance of connecting this infrastructure with universities, research institutions and local businesses, with the aim of strengthening capacities for scientific research and development (R&D), as well as building a sustainable innovation ecosystem in the country.
According to Minister Kusari-Lila, the implementation of this project is expected to create new jobs, increase the country’s technological capacities and strengthen Kosovo’s position as a safe, sustainable and competitive destination for foreign strategic investments.
