Minister Kusari-Lila: More domestic production, fewer imports for a stronger economy

The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade, and Innovation, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, participated in the “Data4Breakfast” event alongside Prime Minister Albin Kurti, Minister of Agriculture Armend Muja, and representatives from the food processing sector. Discussions focused on opportunities to increase production capacity, secure financing, boost exports, and utilize more domestic raw materials.

During the discussion, the importance of increasing domestic production and substituting imports with products made in Kosovo was highlighted as a key strategy for strengthening the economy and enhancing economic security.

Under the “1 Billion Agenda,” the goal is to replace one billion euros’ worth of imports with domestic production. In this context, the need for Kosovo to increase production, expand exports, and reduce import dependency was emphasized.

Minister Kusari-Lila thanked Data4X for organizing the event and for creating a platform for direct dialogue with producers in the food processing sector.
